SKETCH_3: Projector testing + Questions from Mimi

What if you changed what area of the room you tracked the same way you’re changing which area of the room you’re projecting on?

Then people will understand that when the projection is pointed at them, they are also affecting what’s being projected.

Also, you mentioned Tiri will be performing in the corner? How does that performance relate to everything else?

What is the content you are projecting? What is the progression of worlds you’re taking me through?

Are the worlds related to the act of cleaning? Are they dirty worlds? Especially clean worlds? Are they worlds of manual labor?

Are they realistic? surrealistic? hyperrealistic worlds?

Are they empty of people?

Or are they completely unrelated to the physical act you want everybody to do?

We clean everyday in our life by subconsciously. Start the day by taking shower, make your bed, wash your dish, We discipline this cleaning routine by our code…? … ummm? whatever… we can always come back and clean this blog post.

From this manifesto and idea of cleaning, We want to create an experience of cleaning in virtual reality. From the formal classroom to deconstruct space, From sweeping the floor to mars. We can clean whatever we want.

We used source code from DanO’s open source cinema class link to class web
to upload 360 image in THREE.js and use them as background. We used kinectron to get the skeleton data to put in the THREE.js sketch. We can also save scenes that we create in APIs file. From this technic, We can create cleaning situation in everywhere!!

This is going to be our performance piece.

Representation
* What space do your bodies inhabit? How will you define it?
-Virtual space and also physical space. The actual body still moving in real space
* Will you represent the body? If so, how?
-Yes, by create the new shape of body depend by scenes we create
* Will you represent the pathways of movement? If so, how
-Yes, in virtual space, also textures to play with speed

Rules of interaction
* What will you track? Which joints? Contour? Blobs? Face? Hands?
depend on scene / switch by scene
* How does position affect pathways/body/space?
By projector position
* How do the dynamics of movement (speed, acceleration) affect pathways/body/space?
Depend by scene and texture of scene. We have to clean the texture to go through next scene
* If you are doing multiple bodies, how do they relate to each other?
So far we do one at a time
* What happens when people leave the sensing space?
We will delete the code manually line by line to end to show.

I love the idea of clear everything out of the room, The main idea of this class. We have to clear things out, Move things in.. Such a wonderful experience. I want us to remember this experience together one last time before the last class end.
